Participating is your chance to actively contribute to making your city more resilient to climate change by developing an idea that answers its selected challenge.

To make sure you get the most out of the hackathon, we have designed a handy e-learning course containing online learning material to help you develop your innovative thinking skills in preparation for the Climathon, understanding your city's climate challenge, coming up with ideas, exploring our Ideation toolkit and pitching your solution.

Our four hand-picked 'learning nuggets' will teach you everything you need to know ahead of the event, from how to fight climate change itself to pitching your idea successfully.

The first learning unit is called "Combat climate change" and will allow you to learn about all the types of solutions that can be implemented to save the environment.

Moving forward, the second learning nugget will help you to use observation and inspiration to find out about how ideas are born and how to develop your own creative thinking skills.

The third nugget is our trusted Ideation toolkit! It will help you find inspiration and tools to get creative and identify potential solutions to the local climate challenge you have identified.

Lastly, our final learning nugget will show you how to present your idea efficiently. It will let you find out how to plan, structure and script your pitch to make sure you have a chance at being behind the judges' favourite idea!

In terms of time commitment, you can go through the four learning nuggets within one to two hours, but we recommend you allow extra time to complete the planning and pitching activities and to fully explore any of the external links that you are curious about.

Ready, steady... Go! Click here to start our e-learning course!
