Challenge: Climate-Friendly public transport
Students from the Waldorfschule Überlingen were asked to find ways on how to design public transport in the region
Challenge
The challenge was framed from activists from the climate-strike movement. Konstanz, as the most important city around lake Bodensee, has declared “climate emergency”. In line with this, students from the Waldorfschule Überlingen were asked to find ways on how to design public transport in the region of Nussdorf to be more climate-friendly, attractive and efficient.
Solution
“Bruder muss los” is an application, which helps public transport companies to manage the size and schedule of buses more effectively. The team of students moreover provides a platform to customers to choose their preferred way of transport, including carpooling, in order to get from A to B.
