What makes a city to be a garden, but still be a city?
What makes a garden city to be good for climate’s sakes?
No cars visible:
Where are cars if they are not seen?
Is there ways to make daily living and working possible without cars?
Take into account that Mikkeli might not be a metropolitan-like area where the public transportation is also economically more possible to arrange.
Artificial wetlands:
What artificial wetlands means - is it a new Venice and nice harbors for high-class people’s yachts?
Can artificial wetlands give some positive impact for the climate issues?
Things to be considered in general:
Future visions do not turn real with the flick of the switch. For your knowledge: the whole city development process takes 10 to 30 years in case of this large area and economic possibilities.
Note that visions are easier to have, than arrange the finance to make them real. Try to keep as much realism in your work as you can (no need to be construction specialist, though).
Think also is there possibilities to take the climate issues into account during the construction phase? I.e. how to make climate responsible construction.
Try to point out why and how your work can became reality.
