Day 3:Hack Your City - Sunday October 27th

How do we innovate our global exchange ecosystem and create the future ‘Impact Ecosystem’? How do we power our cities? How do we make best use of the technologies available to us? How do we build for true, circular sustainability? How do we localise our food supply chains?

Challenge description

The Brief: How do we innovate our global exchange ecosystem and create the future ‘Impact Ecosystem’?

Cutting out our individual CO2e won’t make the trick. We need to entirely rethink the way we design, create, and interact with each other. Gather with some of London’s most creative generation and together let’s rethink our city.

The Output: 4 ‘city hack’ proposals  for 2030 London, produced by 64 participants, pitched to panel judges connected virtually via InnerPlanet San Francisco

Challenge vision

Over 4 days we’ll ideate, collaborate, co-create, and build the foundational pieces to integrate the technological infrastructure needed for an effective InnerPlanet app. We’ve already prepared the Version 1.0 backbone ecosystem for this co-creation; a framework called 'InnerPlanet'. In this framework, we each have an InnerPlanet – a representation of the world our individual actions create. With you, we can build a more beautiful InnerPlanet system -- both individual and collective!

Over four days:

  • Friday, Oct 25th, Day 1: Hack Your Data → How do we convert the actions of individuals and communities to IMPs (measured impacts)?
  • Saturday, Oct 26th, Day 2: Hack Your App → Can, and how do we create a technological interface  that is friendly, understandable, globally accessible and desirable, demonstrating exciting and interactive visual feedback from our actions?
  • Sunday, Day 3: Hack Your City → How do we rethink entirely our politics, ways of creating and gathering to enable effective global collaborative co-creation to ‘hack’ the cities of tomorrow?
  • Day 4: InnerPlanet Interdependence Day Launch → How do we integrate the creations from the distributed knowledge and proposals produced during this “Climathon” to continue the co-creation evolution of the InnerPlanet vision?

Join us, in person, virtually, or both! We welcome your contribution to the InnerPlanet effort.

Days 1-4 CODE YOUR FUTURE Co-Create, Innovate, Iterate, Integrate

London

Can we co-create the world’s climate app? Over the four days of the climathon we plan to code the first version of the InnerPlanet app. Taking on board the input from the daily hacks, we aim to create a demo version, available to everyone who has attended the event.
