Nudge is a concept in behavioral science, political theory and behavioral economics, which proposes positive reinforcement and indirect suggestions as ways to influence the behavior and decision making of groups or individuals.
The specific challenge focuses on the use of digital tools (apps, visualisations) that will act as nudges for city communities, with the goal of increasing their efforts towards a sustainable environment.
In this challenge you are expected to identify nudges that will motivate citizens towards a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. To do so, you can visualize or use open data available from the Cyprus open data platform, the Municipality of Nicosia, and the Cyprus Energy Agency, and create a web or mobile application that will present your solution. Teams are not limited in using the proposed data, but can also use data from other sources, or create solutions that utilize their own data.
