Facing rising temperatures, the people of Zürich have to find a way to prevent their city from becoming a heat island. You can be part of this by analyzing the current "relief" systems, such as urban green spaces and design improved versions.

Challenge description

Factors such as a low density of green spaces, low density of trees, and large areas with sealed surfaces (e.g. paved asphalt roads) are increasing the temperatures in our city. Additionly, the growing number of people that live and work in Zürich can contribute to a shortage of accesible green spaces.

Challenge vision

Which exisiting green spaces are important for Zürich residents today?
How can we optimize these current areas?
Can more green spaces be made available for the public?
How would you design new green areas?
